| Combination Class |
| The combination class is a class tailored to our 3-4 year old dancers. This class emphasizes the creative art of dance while providing an exciting new learning environment. Class also includes use of props and activities designed to introduce dance and movement to toddlers. Students are introduced to some bitty ballet techniques and vocabulary. Other skills learned include communication skills, memory development, social involvement and emphasizing learning your left and right. |
| Ballet I |
| Ballet I class is tailored to our 5-7 year old dancers. In Ballet I classes students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, and across the floor combinations. This class also introduces ballet vocabulary, proper alignment, beginner ballet technique and all 5 ballet positions. All students are urged to study ballet, as it is the foundation of all other dance styles and facilitates further success in these disciplines. |
| Ballet II |
| Ballet II class is tailored to our 8-10 year old dancers. In Ballet II classes students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, and across the floor combinations. This class also strengthens ballet vocabulary, proper alignment, beginner ballet technique and the 5 ballet positions. Barre and center floor work are introduced in this class. All students are urged to study ballet, as it is the foundation of all other dance styles and facilitates further success in these disciplines. |
| Hip Hop |
| Hip Hop I class is tailored to our 11-18 year olds. This class combine street dance with funk, jazz, break dancing and body popping and ticking. In this high energy and fast paced class students will learn the importance of isolations and dynamics to execute hip hop movements. |
| Jazz |
| The Jazz I class is tailored to our 5-10 year olds. This class is fun and energetic. In it students will learn how to coordinate quick arm and leg movements including turns, kicks and jazz hands. The class will include stretching and strengthening exercises and across the floor combinations. |
| Jazz II |
| The Jazz I class is tailored to our 11-18 year olds. This class is fun and high energy. In it students will learn how to coordinate quick arm and leg movements including turns, kicks, jazz hands, leaps, turns, splits and isolations.. The class will include stretching and strengthening exercises and across the floor combinations. |
| Modern Ballet |
| Modern Ballet is tailored to our 11-18 year olds. This is a style of dance that uses the emotion and mood of the music to elicit movements from the dancers. Students have a warm up focusing in core strength, flexibility, and movement of the back. The class includes floor work, progressions, and center combinations. |
| Modeling I |
| Modeling I is tailored to our 5-10 year olds. Basic modeling runway techniques are taught with an emphasis on posture, body alignment and personality. Pivots, turns, stance, and hand and arm placement are emphasized. |
| Modeling II |
| Modeling I is tailored to our 11-18 year olds. Intermediate modeling runway techniques are taught with an emphasis on posture, body alignment and personality. Pivots, turns, stance, and hand and arm placement are emphasized. The use of props are introduced in this class. |
| Modeling III |
| Modeling III is tailored to our high school students with previous modeling experience with RHSPA. Advanced modeling runway techniques are taught with an emphasis on posture, body alignment and personality. Pivots, turns, stance, and hand and arm placement are emphasized. The use of props are mastered in this class. Students have the opportunity to audition for jobs outside of RHSPA as approved by RHSPA’s director of modeling and executive director. Print modeling is introduced in this class and guest model coaches and photographers work with the students to broaden the spectrum around the industry of modeling. |
